Comparatives and superlatives

GRAMMAR BUILDER: comparatives and superlatives

Language assistant
When you use a pronoun, not a noun, at the end of a
comparison, there are two possible forms.
1 John’s younger than me. Mary’s not as old as him.
2 John’s younger than I am. Mary’s not as old as he is.
These are both common and natural, but some
people prefer the second.
