- من أمثلة اللواحق النحوية ( الإعرابية ) s الجمع , و ed الماضي البسيط.

- إن اللواحق النحوية Inflectional Suffixes عادة لا تُغير الفئة النحوية للكلمات grammatical class التي ترتبط بتلك اللواحق.

فمثلا لا يتغير المعنى بإضافة اللواحق النحوية كـ s الجمع أو ed للماضي البسيط. كما في :

مفرد dog  إلى الجمع  dogs

الماضي البسيط  walk إلى walked
